Fitout & Construction

It is important that the Building Manager and Owner's Corporation are advised of any planned works on site in advance. Below you will see building By-Law 49 which outlines the rules in regards to construction work.

Application for consent of the Owner's Corporation should be addressed to the strata manager Mr Rob Bartlett in writing via rob@alliedstrata.com.au

Please also note that construction work can cause false alarms to occur on the smoke detector system (particularly sanding walls and replacement of carpet). Therefore it may be necessary for the Fire Contractors to isolate the smoke detectors in your suite before any works take place. Failure to advise the Building Managers which  then creates a false fire alarm, can result in the tenant/owner being liable to reimburse the Owner's Corporation for the cost charged by the alarm company and/or Fire Brigade who will attend site when the alarm goes off.

Please note that the architectural code referred to below can be found on the plans and rules page of this site.
